THE FABERGÉ EGG
Picture
Picture
One of the most iconic props from the Bond film series has to be the Fabergé Egg in Octopussy.  Based on the actual Coronation Egg, it is a complex and detailed prop, and has proven very difficult for amateur prop makers to accurately duplicate.  Peter Lamont commissioned two eggs from Asprey, London that were used in filming.  My replica prop is a stunning piece of jewelry, professionally made by an individual who was involved with the production of the two prop eggs used for filming.  This individual later produced a limited run of 100 eggs based on the Octopussy egg; mine is number 73 out of 100.  As striking as my replica prop is, the observant eye will see several differences comparing it with the Egg that appears onscreen.  Despite this, it is one of my favorite props that I value the most.
At right is a picture of Kristina Wayborn holding the Octopussy  Faberge egg.  From left to right, Mary Stavin (OP and AVTAK), Lynn-Holly Johnson (FYEO), me and Kristina Wayborn (OP).  Three of the nicest, loveliest ladies you'd ever want to meet!

KAMAL KHAN'S LUCKY DICE

Picture
This prop replica was offered exclusively by the 007Store.  Inspired by the iconic Octopussy backgammon scene, this is a pair of replica trick dice based on the ones used by Kamal Khan. Khan is playing the Major at backgammon and winning. “Damn! Always a double six when you need it!” says the Major. Kahn replies “It’s all in the wrist.” Khan's luck continues as Bond takes the Major’s position. 007 needs a double six to win and takes the opportunity to up the stakes, placing the Fabergé egg on the board as security.  Bond invokes player's privilege and uses Khan's lucky dice, and rolls... a double six.  The Lucky Dice are weighted dice presented in a 007 drawstring bag with a story card.

THE OCTOPUSSY ROBE

Picture
This is the Edition Two (mid-thigh length) version of the Octopussy robe, similar to the one worn by Maud Adams in the movie, and bearing the same Octopussy logo as used on her robe and elsewhere throughout the film.  Only 107 of these limited edition silk satin robes were made.

The Seiko TV watch worn extensively in Octopussy by James Bond (Roger Moore), as developed by Q (Desmond Llewelyn), was actually a commercially-available consumer product.  Above is a complete and fully original (including the batteries!) version of the product.  It consisted of the TV watch, the TV receiver with batteries, headphones, and a connector wire between the TV watch and the TV receiver. As of just a few years ago, before television stations in the US switched to digital broadcasts and ceased analog broadcasts, the product still worked and I was able to get reception for a couple of television stations near me, although the reception was very fuzzy.  I have never tried connecting the watch to a camera!

Along with the TV watch came a new Seiko wristwatch, the Seiko G757 Sports 100, complete with extra perks from Q Branch. Among those extra perks was the ability to follow a tracking device by way of a digital red dot on the screen.

Model of the Acrostar mini-jet featured in the pre-titles sequence of Octopussy.  This was a fun gadget to watch, in my opinion better than the gyrocopter.  A limited edition, my model is number 15 of 100.
