Bond: Weren't you a blond when I came in? Tiffany Case: Could be. Bond: I tend to notice little things like that, whether a girl is a blond or a brunette. Tiffany Case: And which do you prefer? Bond: Oh, providing the collars and cuffs match... |
Plenty O'Toole: Hi, I'm Plenty. Bond: But of course you are. Plenty O'Toole: Plenty O'Toole. Bond: Named after your father perhaps? Plenty O'Toole: You handle those cubes like a monkey handles coconuts. |
The guide book 'Now' was seen in Diamonds Are Forever, but the film used a special version printed solely for the film. The prop version seen on-screen featured Sammy Davis, Jr. on the front cover, and the middle spread again featured Sammy Davis, Jr. on the left, and shows by Shady Tree and his Acorns on the right. This highly detailed and screen-accurate prop also contains pages taken from the real 'Now' magazine that were not seen in the movie, just for authenticity. Unfortunately, scenes involving Sammy Davis, Jr. were filmed but cut from the finished version of the movie. This amazing prop was created by Andy House.

This is a replica of the Q-Branch Electro-Magnetic RPM ring worn by Q that allowed him to win every single pull of one of the slot machines at the Whyte House casino. Unfortunately, the replica is non-working! This ring was a group project done in memory of Andy House, who made several of the props associated with Diamonds Are Forever that I own, and is a fitting tribute to him.

This cassette case and cassette tape are an exact match to the props seen on screen. However, the 'marshal march' music actually played by Blofeld on the cassette player is not one of the marches recorded on the real cassette tape. My version of the cassette has the correct march recorded on it, the same one as is played in the movie - 'The British Grenadiers March'!

After the fight between Peter Franks and Bond (posing as Peter Franks) in the elevator in Tiffany Case's building, the real Franks lay dead on the floor. To preserve his ruse, Bond switches his wallet for Franks', and then lets Tiffany get the dead man's wallet to determine his identity. Tiffany pulls out this Playboy Club card and exclaims to Bond (posing as Franks) that he had just killed James Bond. This replica is nearly identical to the one that appears onscreen.

A copy of a script for Diamonds Are Forever bearing the signatures of Sean Connery, Jill St. John, Trina Parks, Charles Gray, Jimmy Dean and Lana Wood. The script came with a Certificate of Authenticity from the seller. No back-up evidence of authenticity has been provided and I have made no attempt to have any of the signatures authenticated.

Technically this has absolutely nothing to do with Diamonds Are Forever, but if you are ever in Las Vegas (Bond-related or not) you owe it to yourself to see this awesome James Bond tribute not to be found anywhere else in the world. In 1997 the owner of Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House acquired, for $360,000, a 007-inspired mechanized mahogany and maple table which doubles as a wine cellar, containing 18 magnums of wine. The table / bin was eventually located to the Del Frisco's restaurant in Las Vegas. The bottles are etched and painted with scenes from the Bond films, each bottle being a collectible by itself. In the two videos below you can see how the table rises up and opens from the top into the display you see at the left all the while playing the theme music from each of the Bond films Dr. No through Tomorrow Never Dies. Not only are the bottles works of art, they contain wine from some of Napa Valley's finest wineries - Stag's Leap, Spottswoode Vineyard, Shafer Vineyards, Beringer Vineyards, Cain Cellars, and Colgin and Vine Cliff Cellars. So go see the Bond table while you enjoy a great meal at Del Frisco's!
